Straight bet, street bet, corner bet, split bet, line bet, and a five number bet are all examples of inside bets while the even-money, column, and dozen bets are examples of outside bets.

In a straight bet, if the roulette player wins, the pay out is thirty five to one. In a split bet or two numbers, the pay out is seventeen to one. In street bet or three numbers, the pay out is eleven to one while in corner bet, the roulette player can win eight to one and in five bet, the bet is six to one.

All outside bets pay one is to one. If the bet is placed on any red or black, the player can place the chips on either red or black. If the bet is placed on either even or odd bet, the roulette player can place either on odd or even spot but the player will loose if 0 or 00 comes up. When placing the bet on any number, the player can choose between the numbers of one to eighteen and nineteen to thirty six and as a rule, the roulette player will loose if the number zero comes out.

There are no limits in placing the types of bet the roulette player wants for every spin. The roulette player can place different kinds of bets anytime. Remember the higher the bets, the higher the winnings.
